Eric de Maré exhibition

The current Eric de Maré exhibition at 66 Portland Place is still proving popular with visitors if the comments book is anything to go by. One visitor wrote: ‘Superb photographs, a wonderful show’, while another described what he saw: ‘Still life imagery which is poetic with a story to tell’. De Maré’s image of ‘Skyscraper’ fishermen’s sheds in Hastings was singled out by one visitor as worthy of praise.

The exhibition, curated by the RIBA Library Photographs Collection, has received positive reviews in the national press, most recently in the Financial Times.

Entry to The Exploring Eye: The Photography of Eric de Maré is free, but get there this month as the exhibition ends on 24 November 2010.

If you can not make it, then the book Eric De Mare: Architecture in Camera Series by exhibition curator Robert Elwall (RIBA Photographs Collection) is available from RIBA Bookshops.
