Members of the Portsmouth Architecture School Society took part in an education programme at the British Architectural Library today. Education Curator Dr Elizabeth Grant took the group on a tour of 66 Portland Place before leading a workshop on the RIBA’s collections and online resources in the CETLD Bene Education Room adjacent to the Library. Students took a tour of the Library and had an opportunity to explore early imprints, photographs, drawings and journals pulled from the Library’s vast collections. Participants were particularly impressed by an 1827 plan for Regents Park and competition drawings for 66 Portland Place.
If you would like to make arrangements for a free education programme for your students or colleagues, please email the Education Curator at library.education@riba.inst.org or phone (0)20 7307 3732 to discuss your visit.
