In the Library a 1:100 scale model of Loos’s unbuilt house for Josephine Baker is on display. This house designed for the singer and dancer would have boasted at its centre an indoor swimming pool lit from above by skylights. With its white and black striped exterior, the building would have stood out on the intended site in Paris. On today’s posting you can see photographs of the exhibition model being constructed.

This model is one of many exhibits in the Adolf Loos: The Plan in Space display, part of the Adolf Loos Season that begins on Thursday 24 February 2011 at the RIBA.
